| *2/12/15 INCARNATION CHURCH GLENDALE CA , 530p...Lord, hear our prayer for this parish, & in particular two gentleman (always in 3-piece suits, & I think, Armenian) who are always at the daily mass & seem to always arrive a few minutes late (happens so regularly,it seems intentionally timed thus wise, unless both come from jobs that just happen to make them a few minutes late every time)...and when they do arrive, it's always in a "grand" manner...one of them in particular seems to strut around before sitting down...seemingly sizing up who is in the pew etc...sometimes he has stood near me, and recently sat down on the end of the same pew...when the church was almost empty...so I am wondering if there is some sort of "posturing" going on by these two fellows. Armenians, in general, can be a bit feisty, & even sometimes have a superiority complex, ...I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I just want to offer up a prayer about these two gentleman and ask for the presence of the Holy Spirit to prevent "the flesh" from rising up in any of us especially while we are there at the church building to worship you and presumably are fellow brothers-&-sisters in Christ, not rivals trying to outdo one another, nor defeat one another, nor lower the morale of one another, but to be encouragers and together leave the church feeling re-charged by the Spirit...hear our prayer Lord ! * |
